Creativity starts when circumstances outside your control, force you to think outside the box. On March 30,2025 there was severe weather coming into the area. So I started searching for an indoor venue/setting for my client.
I found that all the places that we could technically take photos just didn't feel like my client's personality. When I threw out the idea of doing the photos at a local ice cream shoppe called "What's the Scoop", my client was so excited!
Ice cream shops, as it turned out was the BEST place to take pregnancy announcement photos! These were so cute and I hope they inspire you in your next photoshoot!
So next time that you are "rained" out of a location. Call around to your local small business's and see if they will allow for a photoshoot there! It is so important as photographers and clients, that we support local! Community is what makes our country great.
